With this mission in
mind, we have four locations in the southwest San Fernando
Valley for senior adults to enjoy a daily
hot lunch and enriching activities. ONEgeneration’s
skilled nutrition staff makes certain every delicious
lunch offers a minimum of 1/3 of the daily nutrition requirements
for mature adults.
Entertainment and different activities at each Dining
Center make each site unique – call the location
to see what exciting activity is planned. Our activities
are participant driven and reflect the unique cultural
diversity present at each location. (Please contact
individual centers for dates and times of special holiday
and birthday celebrations, as well as center closing
dates for national holidays).
Costs: There are no fees for meals
at the dining centers. This is a donation-based program
that helps to sustain our meal and activity programs.
A portion of the funding for these programs also comes
from the government including the City of Los Angeles
Department of Aging. ONEgeneration underwrites extensive
fundraising efforts to help provide these meals. However,
participants' contributions help us serve meals to many
more seniors than traditional funding allows.
