ONEgeneration announces $75,000 S. Mark Taper Foundation Grant

It is with great pleasure that ONEgeneration announces receipt of a $75,000 grant from the S. Mark Taper Foundation.  The historical relationship with the Foundation goes back to 1992 when it provided critical capital support which allowed for the development of the “Mark Taper Intergenerational Center” at 17400 Victory Blvd., in Van Nuys.  The Center continues today providing daily activities which unite participants of many generations.  Its long established intergenerational programs continue to be the hallmark of ONEgeneration’s mission – “to enrich the lives of seniors, children, and their families throughout our diverse community.”

The new grant will assist ONEgeneration in strengthening this mission through the delivery of our existing programs which include: adult day health care for seniors with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Dementia, or other chronic conditions; meal delivery to homebound disabled adults; congregate meal delivery; transportation for seniors to critical appointments; a seniors enrichment center for active seniors; a childcare center for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years; and programs for at-risk youth.
