October has brought us the usual change of weather, warm, sunny days and cool, crisp evenings. Every Saturday in October ONEgeneration, through the Parents Group, is sponsoring a series of Movie Nights and Food Trucks on our Van Nuys campus’ soccer field. Our partner, ComCinema, sets up a four-story tall screen and projects (in high definition) a very cool movie. Our next two Food Truck Movie Nights are promising to be quite fun. The fun starts at 5:30pm (while it is still warm) and by the time the movie starts at 7:30pm the sweaters and blankets come out and the crowd settles down. We are sorry, but no pets permitted.
Saturday, October 19th young and old will enjoy Enchanted, a 2007 romantic comedy -adventure live action animated musical, produced and released by Walt Disney Pictures. This is one of my favorite movies, and Amy Adams does a fantastic job portraying a Disney Princess.
These Food Truck Movie Nights are a fun evening our for families. The park-like setting with families claiming their space with a blanket and lawn chairs sets the tone for relaxing enjoyment. The Food Trucks provide a variety of choices for all palates and parents chat while children play in the enclosed area.
Next week Young Frankenstein will conclude the series. The film is an affectionate spoof of the classic horror film, in particular the various film adaptations of Mary Shelly’s novel Frankenstein.
